Biggest Diamonds In World
Big size diamonds has been a passion for many great people in the world. There have been even wars in the past to trying seize this earthly stone. So, I am just doing a research to find all the news and detailed information trying to find out all the information related to a diamonds size and details surrounding it.
1. Cullinan Diamond
Cullinan Diamond is today's undisputed-biggest known diamond, it weighed around 621.35 grams1. This big stone was later carved into Cullinan I (The Great Star of Africa) and Cullinan II (The Lesser Star of Africa).
2. 720 grams Carbonado (Black Diamond) - Brazil
A 720 grams Carbonado (Black Diamond) was also found in Brazil, but unfortunately nothing could be actually extracted from this great stone.
3. Lesotho diamond
Lesotho diamond was unearthed from Letseng Diamond Mine of South African. It weighed 120 grammes (4.2oz), it is supposed to be the 15th largest Diamond in the world3.4
4. Unnamed Fancy Black diamond
As per Guinness World Records 2009 the largest cut diamond is a unnamed Fancy Black diamond weighing 555.55 carats.
